Limned?

So, we’ve established that the RGB strip of lights is a little too subtle as it stands. So, when Andrew was over the other night, I wondered aloud if painting the clouds a little impasto could light them up. You see, you can see the RGB colours on the ceiling, so perhaps they might show up on the edges of thick paint.

Andrew pointed out that this was the perfect time to try because I am sanding and re-sanding the backdrop anyway. So, quick as a flash, I got out the paints and roughed in a really awful rendition of a cloud. At least it has high bits of paint to perhaps catch a little of the light.

The trouble is, it really doesn’t:

Oh well, at least now we know this is not a worthwhile idea. Maybe if all the other lights were off you could see the effect, but overall I’m disappointed in the RGB LED light strip.
