Ring rail replaced

I always find it interesting how much quicker it is to redo something than to do it the first time.  So it is that it took only two evenings (about three hours) to remove the first ring rail and replace it.  Of course, I reused all the parts.  I scraped the ties down and pulled and pried the Pliobond off the rail itself.  I even dug through the garbage to find the original gauge.

It’s still not perfect.  Perhaps I could have come up with a more robust alignment jig for the ties if I’d spent more time.  However, it’s pretty good, and  I’m much happier with this version.  It was three hours well spent.
