Display shots for 622

I finally decided to shoot the photos for the Railway Modellers’ Meet virtual display room this week. I’ll be presenting it during the Meet the Modeller evening this Thursday. If you haven’t already, you should register and submit a model to join in. We’ve never taken this approach before, but I’m hoping it will be fun.

I put 622 onto the turntable for these photos, and backed her onto an engine house track to sit beside . I’m amazed by the size difference between the two engines. They were built about 40 years apart, and so, I shouldn’t be too amazed. I’m sure if you put a U33C and an ES44AC, two modern locomotives that share a wheel arrangement, next to each other there is a similar disparity.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the way the model is going. The details below the running boards really bring it to life, and with the Proto:87 wheels, they bear cruel closeups remarkably well.
