For about a year, the local NMRA division has hosted a group modelling evening. Despite it being only ten minutes’ drive for me, my calendar never seemed to line up. This Friday I finally made it. I brought along the soldering iron and the project board for the water tower, and wound up wishing I’d brought more because I was finished early.
There were seven of us spread among four tables in Tim’s building’s party room. These are all modellers I’ve known for a year or thirty, and the conversation flowed easily as we puttered on our various projects. Who ever said model railroading is a solo pursuit?
