Summer is always a busy time, and with the good weather, my thoughts turn to outside activities. It’s difficult to keep momentum on the railroad through July and August, and I can imagine arriving in September or October to find all my projects locked in a thick layer of moss.
So the call for the monthly NMRA modelling night just after I returned from the family vacation in July was just what I needed! I have a steam throttle in progress that I took to a modelling night in the spring. I found all the bits and packed them into Blueberry the superannuated CR-V for the short trip to Tim Horton’s common room where he had tables and chairs set up for half a dozen modellers.
I completed some work on the steam throttle, but the principle benefit was the inspiration to get all the other projects moving again. Thanks Tim for putting these modelling nights together!
