The second printed coal car (actually, technically the third but who’s counting?) came off the printer in two parts over the past 24 hours. I’m still getting some sagging at the ends but this version is one I think I can work with.
The key outstanding modification will be a reversal of the door closing mechanisms. These are currently attached to the frame, which asks a lot of the fit between the frame and the body posts as they need to zig zag. I wound up having to file away a piece of the body to clear them. Attaching them to the body will avoid the zig zag, while simultaneously allowing a deeper relief.
